I don't even know where to start describing this collab, that's how stoked I am. DES Studio aka Jeremy Dean is a legend in his own right, going back to his contributions in the early US hardcore scene, to his work for and with the typography gods that are House Ind. to in recent memory his work through DES Studio that I am sure you have seen with legendary shredder John Mayer and Dead & Co. His style has been bitten more often than he has made gear himself and truth be told, I have always been a real fan of anything he has done.
Personally, I have had the pleasure of working with him over the years on a number of projects but this is the first time we are actually doing something on our own terms.
About the graphic itself - I ran the charity shirt with the same claim last years and asked JD to work on it again, simply because it resonates with my own truth.
The three arrows, that JD re-interpreted in his own discernible style are based on the Iron Front logo.
The Iron Front (German: Eiserne Front) was an anti-fascist paramilitary organization formed in the Weimar Republic. Its logo, the Antifascist Circle was designed by Sergei Tschachotin, former assistant to the physiologist Ivan Pavlov in 1931. It was designed so as to be able to easily cover Nazi swastikas.
This is a pre-order that starts now and runs until Sunday, January 28th and will ship from Germany around Feb. 10th.
This t-shirt is limited to a 100 pieces, so be quick. Neither JD nor I will be carrying stock and there will be no re-runs of this, meaning this is your only chance to get it.
